REVOLUTIONARY EVENTS IN CREATIVE INTERPRETATION OF KOSTIANTYN PAUSTOVSKYI (ILLUSTRATED WITH AUTOBIOGRAPHIC “THE TALE ABOUT LIFE”)

In the article peculiarities of creative interpretation of revolutionary events and civil war in Ukraine at the beginning of the 20th century as well as their projection into the present day are revealed. That is done through the example of “The Tale about Life” by Kostiantyn Paustovskyi. Special attention is paid to the image system of that story, aesthetic function of portraits and landscapes, humanistic position of the author. It tracks the performance of the relationship of the writer to the revolution, from the romantic to the realistic perception of enthusiasm. Special attention is paid to the problem of devaluation of human life in the era of social upheaval, which is important in the context of the current time. Part of the problem of language is considered, the role of the book in the time of public calamities and radical changes. In the field of observation — various shaped product of a system that consists of a real historical figures and characters created by the author’s imagination. Also it analyzes the uniqueness of portraits and landscapes, as well as their aesthetic function in the product, especially the tropics. The greatest attention is given to the author’s humanist position, which is shown in condemning the savagery, brutality and excessive approval crazy celebration of goodness and justice.
