Abstract

The article investigates the path of reflection of the Turkish drama of 60–80s of the 20th century in “Between Two Revolutions” historical period. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the Turkish author of the drama of that period, the concentration of genre and plays topics. It is revealed that the development of the Turkish drama takes place in two ways, if we talk about interaction of culture and civilization: evolutionary and revolutionary. Having received a strong impetus from the French Revolution (Revolutionary Path), Turkish drama, gaining momentum, continues to develop, more than that, living the “golden age” in spite of the difficult political situation in the country (60–80s of 20th century) (evolutionary way). The studies conducted in the article show that the political theater was formed under the influence of creativity of Erwin Piscator and Bertolt Brecht. The themes of the family, the role of women in society, urban problems are the central themes of the Turkish drama of the inter-revolutionary period. In the dramas of such authors as О. Araidzhy, D. Dilman, T. Ozakman, T. Oflazoglu, H. Taner, the national character of the heroes is clearly traced and the political situation in the country is well represented.
