CYCLE “UNDER ETERNAL SKY” BY V. SHEVCHUK AS METATEXT

The article analyses the cycle “Under Eternal Sky” by V. Shevchuk as metatext. The subject of the author’s reception is the life and heritage of Socrates, H. Skovoroda, L. Tolstoi, M. Gandhi. Integrity of metatext functioning is ensured with dialogue system dominant — philosophical and aesthetic principle of nonviolence. Author’s intentions are aimed at procreation of new knowledge in the reader — cultural and historical continuity of the philosophy of nonviolence and its universality. It is revealed that the system dominant ensures the completeness of author’s statements and makes clear textual dialogue of the cycle, and declared philosophical attitudes of thinkers from different periods. It is proved that the main forms of intertextuality of the cycle are allusion and reference.
