“TO THE ROSE” BY KOSTIA MOSKALETS: KEY CONCEPTS

Abstract

In the article, the poem”To the Rose” by Kostia Moskalets is analyzed; besides that, the poem’s intertextual background, literary context, and interconnection with philosophical reflections in 1970-1980th are outlined. The key concepts of reality, death, unbelonging-to-nobody, rose, body, word, home are examined. The article studies the problem of time which is important for Moskalets’poetry in general. In this case, time is conceptualized as presented in two possible conditions: eternity and temporality. The idea of time is a background for Moskalets’ conception of visible (false) and invisible (true) worlds.
