THE ARTISTIC PHENOMENON OF THE IMAGE OF THE AUTHOR IN THE SYSTEM OF BIOGRAPHICAL AND MEMOIR PROSE OF MARTIN AMIS

The article is devoted to research of the author’s image in the system of biographical and memoir prose of the postmodernism epoch, taking into account the peculiarities of Martin Amis`s creative work. M. Amis used strategy of intertextual reception and creative interpretation of particular realias, occurring in works of his predecessors and contemporaries (J. Updike, S. Bellow, J. Joyce, Ch. Dickens, K. Amis, N. Mailer, V. Nabokov, M. Twain). The essence of the analytical transfer is disclosed at the level of evaluation based of “object” by M. Amis as the author — of the recipient — of the presenter. The study of M. Amis’s biographical and memoir prose has provided opportunity to clarify the upper and lower boundaries of designed meanings about the understanding and interpretation of social and cultural contexts, developed by M. Amis in his works.
