The article is devoted to the analysis of “stage” narration manner of J. Conrad and O. Grin in typological aspect. The basis of analysis is the conception of the “point of view” which is represented in the work
by H. James “The Art of Fiction”. It distinguishes “stage manner of narration” as a new narrative form, its ways of reflection in the English and Russian writers’ literary heritage. This problem is studied on the materials of system of techniques, which reflect the author’s position in the novels Heart of Darkness”
by J. Conrad and “Jessie and Morgiana” by O. Grin.
